The Center for the Aged cares for over 50 aged people who
are frail and often terminally ill. The home is a place of last
resort where people come or are brought when their families can
not afford to care for them. The Vijay Amritraj Foundation is
assisting the home so the residents can live out their lives
with dignity.
The Vijay Amritraj Foundation provided over 100 wheelchairs,
walkers, and hospital beds to the Center for The Aged. Many of
the resident’s were unable to leave their rooms because they
were too frail to walk. With the gift of wheelchairs and walkers
they are now able to spend time on the Center’s porch, visit
other resident’s who are too sick to leave their rooms, and tour
the gardens that surround the facility.
